Exactly two years ago today I wrote my very first blog post, and what a journey it has been since then. The blog has grown more than I ever imagined it would – reaching more ends of the world than I dreamed it could! I’ve switched hosts, bought the domain, and had lots of fun with the design you see now.
I’ve written a book and am getting ready to publish it on May 14th!
Also, how cool is it that my two year anniversary post also happens to be my 250th blog?! God is good!
All of this to say: THANK YOU. Thank you for your countless prayers and words of encouragement. Thank you for coming back day after day and week after week to read what I write. Thank you for helping me spread the word about the blog and the book. I honestly wonder if I’d still be blogging if it wasn’t for you wonderful readers.
As I look back over the past two years and 249 blog posts, I wonder how it ever got this far, and how wonderful our God is that He would give me enough inspiration to keep writing. He has invited me to write about everything from relationships and guarding your heart to spiritual reflections on manure (search the blog for “well, Poop.”). It has always been my goal to write for Him. Whatever He puts on my heart, you see here on the blog. Sometimes it is easy and joyful, other times He invites my to open my heart and soul in ways that aren’t always easy or comfortable. No matter the journey on my side of the blog, I’m always hoping and praying that what you read is exactly what He wants you to – no more, no less. My prayer is that I may be His hands and feet, His little happy scribe. That prayer has turned, over the years, from blogging to writing the book. If I’m not writing for Him, out of love for Him or to glorify Him, then I am no more than a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. I’m awed each and every day by you and by how much work God is doing through this blog. All the glory be His, now and forever.
