Our Lady of Champion Blanket
Our Lady of Champion Blanket
The quintessential Catholic fall blanket is finally here!
Our Lady appeared to Adele Brise, a Belgium immigrant, in Wisconsin in the year 1859. Mary appeared to have light hair with a white dress and mantle. Mary instructed Adele to teach the children of the area about the Catholic faith. Though she felt unqualified, Mary told Adele, "Go and fear nothing. I will help you."
Our Lady appeared in October, and always between a hemlock tree and a maple tree. It is the leaves of these trees that are the focus of this blanket.
Meticulously researched, these maple leaves and hemlock leaves are the same type that would have grown in 1859 in Wisconsin. Set on a beige background the fall leaves in all their glorious colors truly 'pop', making this the perfect Catholic fall blanket - all inspired by Our Lady of Champion, the only approved Marian apparition in the United States.
In between the beautiful fall leaves are the words Our Lady spoke to Adele Brise all those years ago, "Go and fear nothing. I will help you."
Let this blanket be a reminder of Mary's love for each of us, not only in the fall, but all year through.
