Hooray for an easier post to write! This week the Not Alone Series is serving up some random facts about the bloggers who participate, so just in case you didn’t know these things about me, I’m here to dish up the goods!

Specific age won’t be aired here 😉 Suffice it to say that I’m a twenty-something!
~ Area of country (no need for specific location on the interwebz)
Colorado, all over the Denver area. Actually, in an average month I’m usually all over the state because it is too beautiful not to drive around in it!
~ Are you working? If so, what do you do? Or, are you in school?
I’m working! I’m currently a Director of Faith Formation at my home parish. Basically that means that I’m in charge of all faith formation/religious classes for all children in the parish grades kindergarten-5th grade, any and all Sacramental prep things that go on in that age range, recruiting and training volunteers to teach said faith formation classes, and adult and family formation that goes along with all of the above. Before this job I worked for four years as a youth minister. I love my job!
~ Family
My familia is totally fantastic! I have a mom, a dad, and one younger brother. My parents are still happily married after 28 years together! My brother is five years younger than I am and at least five inches taller than I am, which is why I refer to him as my “little big brother”. We are all crazy in our own right, but always there for each other no matter what! I wouldn’t be who I am without them – in an obvious way because I simply wouldn’t exist, but in a practical way because they make me a better person!

~ Favorite Gospel?
The whole gospel or just a passage? If we are talking the entire gospel, then it is probably Matthew. There is something about the way he writes (and how he connects with so much of the Old Testament) that I relate to in a very natural way.
Theologically though, I love Mark’s gospel because it chronologically came first and was written before the other gospels and had a heavy influence on Matthew and Luke’s gospels.

Well, none of them required a Facebook status change. Things are official, even if they aren’t on Facebook. I’m not even sure how many of my relationships have been on Facebook…so I’m just going to decline to answer 😉

~ Online dating experience? Advice?
I’ve joined a few sites over the years…here’s my quick thoughts on the ones I’ve tried:
Catholic Match: Okay, I never signed up for this one, but in my experience from previewing the site, most of the guys on there seem to want a nice Catholic girl to fix them up, rather than being a faithful Catholic. **Just my impression**
eHarmony: Yikes. I tried a free trial and when I decided to delete my account (since they never matched me with Catholics, despite my extreme settings saying that I ONLY wanted view Catholics) they used pages of scare tactics and “stats” to try to get me to keep my account.
OK Cupid: Its free, so there are some majorly creepy people on there, but if you set your standards and are very clear in your profile and answer a couple of hundred questions then you get a pretty decent outcome. You get out what you put in! OK Cupid definitely has my recommendation and I know a number of couple who have met and are engaged/married who met through OK Cupid!
Christian Mingle: My biggest beef with them: no easy way to filter people by denomination. Call me picky, but I know what I want and I majored in theology – a system of beliefs is my biggest determining factor in a future mate, and not being able to easily see who is what denomination was frustrating.

Don’t worry so much about what everyone else tells you, listen to God and let Him lead and guard your heart. He knows what He’s up to.
