Wednesday’s post about the top ten things NOT to say to single people was crazy popular! How popular, you ask? As of Thursday afternoon it is the THIRD most popular post I’ve EVER written (second only to “dear Husband.” and “the journey of my Heart.“) AND I had more blog views on May 1, 2013 than I did for the entire month of May 2012. Growth is awesome and God is good.
I’ve got a few ideas for this series, but I’d LOVE to hear yours! By the way…the series will likely be “just don’t say it…” OR “just say it…”
Here are my ideas so far (PLEASE let me know what you think and add your own!):
for the “just don’t say it…”: things not to say on a first date, things not to say to a new couple, things not to say to your parents/siblings/relative/etc., self-published author (just me on that one? Haha!)
for the “just say it…”: things to say to single people, things to say to a new couple, things to say when asking someone on a date, etc.
Throw your ideas at me, I’m having fun writing for this series!

I’ve been saying for YEARS that God has a sense of humor, and on Wednesday, He proved it.
Wednesday was the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. I got into my office on Wednesday and found out that at the end of the month they will be letting me go. I’m incredibly grateful that I have another job in youth ministry, but it is still hard to hear, ya know? If nothing else, I know that St. Joseph is taking care of me! Also, God is so good and is filling my heart with peace about everything He is doing my life. He’s just…amazing. Duh.
{Three and a Half}
Remember when I asked y’all to tell me about St. Joseph? If nothing else, I’ve seen in really amazing ways this week exactly why he has been pulling on my heart-strings for months. Through the craziness, I know that God is taking care of me. I know that where there is peace, God is there. It is beautiful, y’all.

I ordered the first batch of books this week! I can hardly wait for the giant (at least to me!) shipment to arrive so I can start signing the books and shipping them out! Seeing all of the blood, sweat, and tears come to fruition after almost a year and a half is SUCH a joy and I can hardly wait to share it with y’all!

Oh, the southern accent. I’m going on vacation this summer for a glorious ten days to the Carolinas and possibly Georgia. I leave in about two months and I can hardly wait! Sunshine and beaches, good times and friends, here I come!

Song of the week is…“Like Jesus Does” by Eric Church. It is just so darn good, and such a good reminder of how we are called to love and witness to His love. Oh, and because I am on a huge country music kick again (as if I’m ever not on a country music kick).

This week I’m all about John’s Gospel. The reading from Wednesday is one of my all time favorite’s of John’s. Last year that passage hit me upside the head and knocked my heart back into line, so much so that I had to blog about it!
“Jesus said to his disciples:
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.
He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit,
and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.
Remain in me, as I remain in you.
Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own
unless it remains on the vine,
so neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit,
because without me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
will be thrown out like a branch and wither;
people will gather them and throw them into a fire
and they will be burned.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”” – John 15:1-8
Until next time 😉
