quick takes: seven Posts?!

Quick Takes

For this week’s edition of Quick Takes, I decided to cultivate a little gratefulness in my life. What are you grateful for this week? My list is below:

{one}

The blog. I’m grateful that I decided to take the 7 posts in 7 days challenge and write. It has felt incredible to log in, sit down, and actually write posts. They haven’t all been perfect, but even that has been a growing experience for me!

{two}

Candy. Some of the kids I work with figured out my favorite candy and left me an entire bag of it outside my office door this week. And to answer your next question: I don’t care if it is in the wedding diet – it is tasty and I’m eating it.

{three}

Anthony. I’d be remiss if I listed the things I’m most grateful for this week and didn’t include him. The closer we get to marriage, the more grateful I am for him, for the ways he loves me, the patience he has with me, and the man that he is. I’m incredibly honored and unbelievably blessed that a man as wonderful and holy as he is wants to marry me.

{four}

My parents. I honestly think I would probably lose my mind planning a wedding if not for my parents and the immense amount that they’ve been able to help me with/do for me. As if my parents weren’t awesome for a thousand other reasons, they are so willing to help even when I feel like I barely see them some days (despite the fact that I still live with them).

{five}

Femininity. As the wedding gets closer and closer (less than 100 days!) I’m increasingly grateful for the fact that I’m a girl. I’m also grateful for the women in my life and for new friends I’m making. There is nothing like sisterhood! 🙂

{six}

My co-workers. I came into my office on Tuesday morning to find a paper chain on my chair, counting down the number of days until my wedding. Even better? Each link is numbered so I don’t lose track!

Things that make me laugh. Particularly this series:

    #2 – Reese’s peanut butter cups 🙂

    #7 – I’m pretty sure it is a universal look that a child instinctually knows!

    #2: If someone were to send you candy, what kind should they theoretically send?

    #7: TOTALLY ACCURATE. Daniel is non-verbal and he still manages to communicate the “srsly woman… I want_____” perfectly in his expression.
