That's my takeaway from the readings today. He rested. Who am I to think that I can't possibly rest?
Oh, no, the laundry must be done.
The dishwasher unloaded.
Mass sets must be painted.
Grocery shopping done.
Meals planned.
Pediatricians researched.
Budget balanced.
Bathrooms scrubbed.
Windows cleaned.
Lawn mowed.
...and just like that the Sabbath disappears.
But He rested. And if the God of the universe, after creating everything we see, rested, then I can, too.
And not only CAN I rest, I should.
Even in the midst of [insert your current situation here]. Rest. Find rest. Find Him.
