my attire on Sunday (vol. 7)
Welcome to the What I Wore Sunday PLUS What I Wore on Christmas Edition of this series!
First, Christmas Eve. The first outfit is what I wore to play at the 5p.m. Mass before the snow and freezing temperatures hit.
Dress – Ross ($8), It has fun sparkly shoulders and is super comfy!
Sparkly belt: Came with the shirt that I wore here!
An AWESOME French twist, if I do say so myself, complete with little jewel diamond-y things! Also, photographing the back of your head is really hard. Also, you can see the sparkly shoulders with this shot! I’m so excited that my hair is finally long enough to pull of a french twist!
Then it was off to family stuff at which point I was covered in cat hair (which I am ridiculously allergic to) and had to come home and had about 20 minutes to rid myself of cat hair and get ready for midnight Mass. And it had started snowing (White Christmas!)! So, here’s what happened for midnight Mass, in which I got to be a Eucharistic Minister:
Calvin Klein dress (by way of Ross): $25 (it is a lovely shade of gray, not that you can tell this by this picture…)
White shawl: Ross ($8)
Necklace: Walmart ($7?)
Anyway, the dress is kind of like this one, but no slit up the side and the top part is a little different, but you get the idea. Really comfy, and at $25 that dress was a steal.
And that brings us to this Sunday…and still within the Octave of Christmas, so I’m even liturgically matchy still!
Dress: Either Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe. I bought it for my 21st birthday, it is a fun and shiny pearly off-white color!
Shrug: Burlington Coat Factory (in Burlington, NC) – $10
Leggings: Target ($8)
Boots: JCPenney ($15, clearance from $100!)
My awesome earrings, compliments of my brother for Christmas!
I just love getting dressed up sometimes! Be sure to check out Fine Linen & Purple for more lovely and handsome Mass outfits!
And just for Tracy…

Thanks!! The rooossshhhing is so much fun (especially when I wear it dancing!)!! If only we didn’t live so far we could totally swap clothes and/or go shopping together!!
I love it all! I can’t even begin… I love the ruching (rouching?) (rooooooshing??) on the black dress and how well you pull off a full length dress and the ENTIRE WHITE DRESS OUTFIT!!! Ahhhh, can I have your clothes?
Haha, I hoped you would enjoy that 😉 I won’t fall down the stairs (did you see the size of my heels yesterday?! 3ish inches!!)! Christmas is here and what a blessed season it is!!
Thanks, those sparkles just made the French twist that much better!
OMGoodness…..laughing so hard at you falling down the stairs….I’ll just face my fear and know that you will NOT fall down those stairs! thx for the laugh!!
Love the Christmas Eve look, so dressy and the hair is just beautiful, stunning really! The long dress is amazing on a whole other level, gorgeous and the shorter dress is cute and fun and super happy…Christmas is Here!!! Christmas is Here!!! Christmas is Here!!!
I love, love, love your hair – French twists are the best, even better with little sparkles!
Haha! Thanks =)
which of the 50 shades of grey was that dress? lol. adorable outfits dear.
Thanks! Its actually a lovely charcoal gray dress but the lighting for taking pictures after midnight Mass was (as you can guess) quite limited!
Yeah, that long black dress with the white cardi is UH-MAY-ZING.
That is probably my favorite LBD that I own! So much fun to wear, easy to accessorize and super comfy! What more could a girl ask for?
Dresses are so much fun, I can only remember a few times this year that I didn’t wear a dress or skirt on Sunday!
Thanks! I find that with long legs, owning leggings is a requirement! Long dresses are just so feminine, I love wearing them =)
The LBD is a stunner! Love the details.
All these dresses are amazing!! I love that LBD in the first shot and the way you styled the ivory/black number this week!
Wow! I’m very impressed with that many dresses in such a short window of time. I’m not even sure if I wore a dress at all in 2012. Yours are so cute, though, it makes me want to try to find something.

I love all three! I only own one long dress and it is a maxi. I can’t get enough of yours though! It is so elegant. Just lovely. I love how tights/leggings can take a shorter dress and give it some length-good job!
Very cute, love your bangs.. and totally impressed with those boots for the deal you got. 🙂
