hold your Tongue.

Sometimes I like picking really random featured images for the blog. This is just too random to not post.

Alright, alright, maybe I got a little too excited last week. Here’s where the proposal is at:
it is DONE. It is formatted, edited, all pretty and professional (more professional than pretty, I assure you) and done. Praised be Jesus Christ. It took more time to write and edit the proposal than it did to write then entire book. So what now? I’ve made a wonderful connection with a fairly well-known Catholic speaker who has also written and published a book of her own. She is, God willing, reading my sample chapters and then she is going to help me get “in” with a couple of people she knows with a couple of different Catholic publishers. Before all this could happen I needed to have the proposal ready to be sent of at a moment’s notice. This is good. I’m grateful for her help and now I just have to be patient and wait for her to work her Catholic magic. Oh yeah, and pray. I’ll give you updates as I get them, though from now until I hear back from publishers there really won’t be anything to update. It is a waiting game, but more importantly it is a praying game.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, keep praying. Start praying. I’ve been asking for the intercession of Sts. Peter and Paul from the beginning of this project (even before I announced it here, on their feast day). Your prayers are felt and, in ways I’ll never be able to put to words, they are making a difference. I believe in this book, and I believe in the message that God is trying to send to His children (men and women alike). Please, please, please keep praying for the book, for the publishers and for the next steps in this process. God’s will be done.

Fridays on the blog will probably look a little different until I hear back from publishers. Stay tuned!

For now, I’ll leave you with one last quote from the book…
“Being fierce, and being fierce as a woman must be more than a lack of chicken-ness. Fierce and fear, they sound so similar and yet are so far apart. To be a fierce woman one must not be overcome by fear, but she must also open her heart to God’s heart, above and beyond anything and anyone else. First and foremost. Eternally and perpetually. I could say it a thousand different ways and I feel as though I must because we forget that our hearts are ransomed to God, always. Not just until some shiny new toy shows up, not just until we think we’ve attained happiness on our own, not until some knight in shining armor shows up, but always and forever our hearts must reside in the depths of His. She, this revered woman of worth, must let God’s fierce, loving ways flow through her, and allow them to flow through everything she does until she decreases so much that only God’s fierce heart remains in her.”
